On October 11th, at 4 pm, MIRA Galleries | Espaço MIRA opens this exhibition, part of the "Territories Without Borders" project, an initiative of the Cerveira International Art Biennial Foundation that aims to promote dialogue between art and culture, transcending geographic, social, mental, and political boundaries. This project, which runs from 2025 to 2026, culminates in the 24th Cerveira International Art Biennial (BIAC), under the theme "Territories Without Borders," with artistic direction by Mafalda Santos.

Curated by Mafalda Santos and Manuel Santos Maia, the exhibition brings together 12 works by distinct artists from different generations, exploring the relationship between the self and the world, between nature and culture. The selected works expand the multifaceted concept of landscape, revealing a profound connection between human beings and the natural world. The landscape is presented as a mirror of the human, restoring to us the best of ourselves.

The works of Ângelo Sousa, Sobral Centeno, António Dacosta, and Ana Vidigal allow landscapes to be seen beyond expected conventions and definitions. The works of Diogo Nogueira, Nuno Nunes Ferreira, Luís Ribeiro, Isaque Pinheiro, Jeremy Pajeanc, and Kostyantyn Stepanskyy reveal a profound connection between humans and the natural world. The video works of Alexandre Delmar, Constanza Givone, and Sofia Arriscado, Celata, and Praun question the perception of and relationship with time, highlighting time as flux.
