The Probability of Encounter: A Musical Encounter

We return to the place where it all began, where the sound still clings to the walls, where the notes resonate like echoes of the first moments. Each chair seems to recognize our bodies, each shelf holds the breath of old rehearsals. We return not as those who come back, but as those who rediscover something intimate. It is more than a space, it is a womb that saw us born surrounded by timid chords, growing in harmony and courage.

The Orquestra Nacional Moderna is a classical ensemble composed of 22 professional musicians. The most interesting aspects of this ensemble are, on the one hand, its eclectic repertoire, consisting of works from the Baroque to the contemporary period, based on a surprising arrangement; the configuration of the concert model (audience among the musicians); the presence of a narrator-character; and the opening of each concert with a Mirandese work for bagpipes and orchestra. This is a project intended to intervene in the territories, valuing channels of participation and experimentation. It is oriented towards the development of the musical landscape; towards raising awareness and promoting a different concept of repertoire; ensuring the participation of young professional musicians, enriching their artistic identities; allowing for new conducting experiences; forming new audience networks; and expanding collaborative initiatives.
