The 20th Edition of the MIRA Mobile Prize – B&W Street Photography is now open!
Participants may submit up to 3 photographs, captured and edited on mobile devices, in black and white only, and within the theme Street Photography. Selected images will be included in the exhibition opening on November 8, 2025. Please read the rules below.
RULES
1. Categories
Each participant may submit up to 3 photographs (black and white, theme: Street Photography).
Photos must be captured and edited exclusively on mobile devices.
2. Who can participate
Authors over 15 years old who use mobile photography.
3. Conditions of participation
Maximum of 3 black and white photos per participant.
Only original works owned entirely by the author are accepted.
Deadline: October 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM (GMT).
Participation is free of charge.
To cover exhibition costs (printing, framing, mounting, communication), finalists who wish to participate must pay a fee of 35 EUR (36.27 USD).
4. Image submission specifications
Submission only via the form: miramobileprize.com/en/submission
Files must be JPEG, between 100 KB and 7 MB, with a minimum of 720 px on the longest side.
File name format: FirstNameLastName_category_01 (alphanumeric characters only; do not use .:’”/?}{()[ ]+-=*&^ %$#@!.)
Example: JoseSilva_portrait_01; JoseSilva_landscape_02; JoseSilva_digitalart_03
Photos with signatures, frames, or watermarks will not be accepted.
Finalists must later provide a version with at least 1000 px on the longest side.
The organization may request the original file to verify mobile capture.
After submission, a success message should appear. Each participant will also receive a confirmation email. Since this process is manual, please allow some time for confirmation.
Notes
The submission form requests candidates Facebook and Instagram profiles for the sole purpose of promoting selected images.
Other requested details (country, city) are collected for internal statistics only.
The organization is not responsible for possible overloads of the online system; therefore, early submissions are advised.
Submissions will not be returned. Only winning works will be archived for promotional purposes.
MIRA Mobile Prize is not responsible for any technical failures or lost entries.
5. Jury
The final jury is composed of 5 members.
The jury will select 50 shortlisted photographs and the winner, all under anonymity.
The next 150 best-ranked images will be projected during the exhibition.
Jury decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
6. Use of images
All image rights remain with the author.
Any image used by MIRA Mobile Prize will be credited to the author.
Images may be included in publications and/or promotional materials.
7. Announcement of finalists
The 50 finalists and the winner will be announced on the MIRA Mobile Prize website and social media.
8. Prize
The winner will receive:
A round-trip flight from a European capital to Porto.
5 nights, 6 days accommodation at MIRA Galleries | MIRA FORUM.
For the best-ranked Portuguese author: a trip to Picos de Europa (Fotoadrenalina program).
Alternatively, if the winner is Portuguese, they may choose a 5-night, 6-day stay at Companhia das Culturas, in Castro Marim, Algarve.
9. Exhibition
The exhibition of the 20th edition of the MIRA Mobile Prize B&W | 2025 will open on November 7, 2026, at MIRA Galleries | MIRA FORUM.
The 50 finalists will have their photographs printed, framed, and exhibited.
The next 150 best-ranked images will be projected during the exhibition.
